Musical training and music therapy
Because the Symphony For Life programs will cater for all children, especially those living in disadvantage, in time we also will be establishing facilities for special needs children. These children may be affected by such issues as autism, Aspergers syndrome, Down's syndrome, visual impairment, auditory impairment, or cerebral palsy - but they all deserve to have access to the value of music and its performance - and to experience the social outcomes it can deliver.

Our Special Needs Programs
Our programs will be developed with excellence in mind and will ensure our teachers are trained in special needs best practise. It is our intention to wherever possible, incorporate special needs children into our general programs, although there will also need to be some special programs for those children who cannot play an instrument, or for one reason or another cannot be included in an orchestra or choir. However our concerts will incorporate all, and include all children regardless of ability or disability.
These programs will be developed when we can establish this expertise in our teaching system, and when funds allow.
